Surgery on the labia minora, labia majora or labiaplasty.
Surgery on the labia minora is also called nymphoplasty. The vagina’s « small lips » or inner labia sometimes protrude, creating a flap of skin that can be quite substantial and some people consider this unsightly. Some women, especially sporty women, experience constant discomfort.
The procedure consists of removing the excess skin that protrudes from the vulva beyond the outer labia. It can quite easily be carried out under a local anaesthetic.
